TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Tennis Academy Zuerich offers different courses, camps, trainings, and events. In the following, for the sake of simplicity, only courses will be discussed, but the regulations apply equally to all camps, training courses, and events of the Tennis Academy Zuerich.

Registration & Prices:

Submitting an online binding registration through our website offers to enter a service contract with us. The Academy may accept or decline the offer. The contract is considered established when the Academy confirms a specific training date, course, group or seasonal training schedule. The contract remains valid for the advertised training duration and cannot be terminated early.
Registering for a service is possible in person, over the phone, in writing or online, and obliges the customer to pay the training fee. Failure to pay the fee is not considered as cancellation.

The prices are in CHF per person per lesson (one lesson corresponds to 60, 90, or 120 minutes depending on the offer).
The price includes coaches, test rackets, balls, space rental, and various training aids.
Group lessons and camps are prepaid. Participants receive a personalised schedule with all confirmed training details, including dates, times, location/court, group format, price and payment conditions.
- Group course registration: When registering for a group course, the selected group format is treated as a preference, not as a guarantee. The Academy confirms the final group format, schedule, price and payment conditions based on level, age, availability, coach availability and court availability. Once the Academy confirms a suitable course/group based on the information provided by the participant, the booking becomes binding. If the confirmation contains an error or does not match the participant’s stated availability, the participant must inform the Academy in writing within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation and before the first training. This 24-hour check period does not create a general right to withdraw from a confirmed booking. Later changes of mind, personal availability, holidays, travel plans, work schedule changes or personal preferences are subject to the Academy cancellation rules. Failure to reply, failure to attend or non-payment does not cancel the booking or payment obligation. Any such case is subject to the Academy Terms and Conditions.
- Adult group courses: Adult group courses run during the advertised season period and follow the regular weekly calendar. Trainings take place on consecutive weeks, except for Academy holiday breaks or dates specifically excluded in the course schedule.
- Kids group courses: Kids group courses run during the advertised season period and generally follow the school holiday calendar of Canton Zurich. No regular kids group trainings take place during the listed school holiday breaks, unless additional training sessions or holiday programs are offered separately.
- Changes in group composition during the season: After a group has been confirmed, withdrawals, cancellations, changes in availability or schedule changes by individual participants do not automatically change the price or conditions for the remaining participants. A participant leaving a fixed seasonal group remains responsible for the confirmed seasonal fee unless a suitable replacement is found or the remaining participants accept a revised group price in writing. If a new participant joins during the season, any price adjustment or credit applies only from the confirmed joining date and only if confirmed in writing by the Academy. No retroactive recalculation applies.
Payments for group lessons and camps are due within 7 days of the invoice date, unless a different written payment plan has been confirmed by the Academy.
Individual training sessions are charged separately and invoiced monthly. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Discounts are only valid if the stated payment conditions and payment deadlines are respected. If payment is not received within the stated deadline, the Academy reserves the right to remove or recalculate the discount according to the actual payment model. Late payment does not cancel the registration, booking or payment obligation. The Academy may keep a discount applied as a goodwill gesture despite late payment. Such goodwill does not create a right to the same discount in future cases and does not change the general payment conditions.
Payment reminder - If the payment is not received within the aforementioned period, a reminder will be sent. If the payment is still unpaid, an extra reminder will be sent every 7th day and an extra fee of CHF 10.- will be charged towards the owned amount.
If the Academy cannot offer or confirm a suitable course/group before the start of the season based on the participant’s level and stated availability, the registration will be terminated automatically and no payment is due. If payment has already been made, it will be refunded.
The Tennis Academy Zuerich reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions, the prices, and the program at any time.

Prevention/Cancellation:

The registration is binding. The consideration of the participants takes place after registration. Cancelling after the start of activities is not permitted due to our obligations towards coaches, court providers and other participants. Failure to attend does not cancel the booking or payment obligation. If participation is not possible after registration for urgent reasons, the following rules apply:
Individual training must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. We ask for a written cancellation by email to tazh.tennis@outlook.com. If this is not taken into account, the training hour will be charged in full.
Unattended group courses are non-refundable. Missed lessons cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Adult group lesson packages allow one cancellation per season with at least 14 days’ written notice. For this first timely cancellation, the Academy will make an effort to resell the spot, and the participant keeps the paid amount as a value credit. This credit does not create a right to a replacement training and is subject to the credit rules below. For any further cancellations with at least 14 days’ written notice, the Academy may try to promote or resell the spot as a goodwill effort. However, no credit is guaranteed unless the spot is successfully resold. If notice is shorter than 14 days, the participant must find a suitable replacement approved by the Academy. Otherwise, the spot is forfeited without refund, credit, compensation or replacement lesson.
The following provisions apply to short-term cancellation of prepaid group lessons and camp participation (both for kids and adults): Up to 35 days before the start = no cancellation fee. Up to 15 days before the start = 30% cancellation fee on the total price. Within 15 days before the start = 50% cancellation fee on the total price. Within 5 days before the start or in the event of a no-show = 100% cancellation fee on the total price. Cancellation is not possible after the start of the activities. The declaration of withdrawal must be sent in writing and registered to the organizer, Tennis Academy Zuerich, Erlenrain 3, 8832 Wollerau.
In case of rain, the training will take place in the hall if possible. In the event of a weather-related termination of training, a replacement program will be carried out in the remaining time if possible or the missing time will be compensated.
The Tennis Academy Zuerich reserves the right to have the teacher replaced.
If there is no cancellation of the collaboration 14 days before the end of a package or season, it will automatically continue for the same period regardless of seasonal changes.
If a player is unable to train for more than four (4) consecutive weeks due to a medically certified condition, injury or pregnancy-related inability to train, the participant may submit a written request together with a valid medical certificate. The Academy may review the case individually and may, at its discretion, issue a value credit for tennis lessons in the following season. Any approved credit applies only from the date the written request and medical certificate are received. Retroactive refunds or credits are excluded. Any such credit must be used within the following season only, after which it expires without refund or compensation.

Liability/Waiver of Claims/Jurisdiction:

The Academy, including all associated parties, will not be held responsible for any losses or injuries suffered by the participant during a course, regardless of cause. Participants are responsible for their own insurance, including relatives or companions.
Waiver of Liability and Claims - By participating in the courses offered by Tennis Academy Zuerich, I acknowledge and assume the risks involved, including injury, illness, or loss. I take full responsibility for my safety and agree to release the Academy from any liability for any claims or damages resulting from my participation.
Obligation for underage kids is limited to the training period. The Academy reserves the right to exclude a player who doesn't follow instructions or disrupts the session. Parents/guardians must pick up the player in such case. There is no refund of the training fee.
Damage to property during the course of the course is charged at the expense of, or at least negligently causes or causes.
The place of jurisdiction is Wollerau SZ. Swiss laws shall apply exclusively to these Terms.
All rights, including translations, reproductions, and reprints of training materials, even in extracts, are reserved. No reproductions may be made without the written permission of the Tennis Academy.
